Guest of Family Tundui

29 augustus 2012

When Pastor Ryoba picked me up from the airport at Dar es Salaam and told me that I would be staying as guest of the family Tundui I could not have been more happy. Hawa has recently completed her doctorate at the University of Groningen, The Netherlands. When she was in The Netherlands we met on as many ocassions as she had time for. Charles and Hawa are gracious, kind and caring hostesses. From them I learnt excellence in hosting.

Hawa and Charles have 6 daughters (3 biological and 3 adopted). The youngest 2: Gloria and Glory joined me every morning for breakfast and every evening we sat around the table all together for dinner. We ate traditional meals except on a Saturday or Sunday. For Charles we all worked together to make pizza. The pizzas were a great success!

Chapati with honey and a homemade drink of avocado and passion fruit was my favourite. Hawa taught me how to make Chapati, which I am practicing making. There was also a rice, meat and potato dish that was deliciously spicy that I couldn't refuse a second helping.

After dinner we watched Emmanuel TV and especially the show of Prophet TB Joshua. Through his live television programmes we watched and witnessed some incredible healings and deliverances.

My accommodation was a separate flat with a bedroom, bathroom and small sitting room - but within their compound. I was not advised to go out at night since the security dogs were roaming freely.

All in all it was a very pleasant stay! Thank you Hawa and Charles.
